Albert Tory may never be a film star, but the Albion Park Rail car dealer had the starring role in a remake of All The President's Men yesterday.

And in true showbiz style, the president jetted in to nearby Illawarra Regional Airport in a Citation jet to induct Albert into the fold.

The president is question was Mr Osamu (Sam) Komori, president and chief executive officer of Toyota Motor Corporation Australia, who flew in to present Albert with his President's Award.

The award, Mr Komori told the guests at the presentation, was the pinnacle of achievement for Toyota dealers in Australia, and recognition that they had achieved excellence in all facets of their business.

``The selection process and criteria ensures that only the most dedicated Toyota dealers will ever have the honour of accepting this award," he said.

``It brings out the best in Toyota dealers ... and our experience has been that winning (the award) is a major turning point in the career of the winner."

Albert wins an overseas trip for two (flying first class, of course), a plaque and a magnificent trophy, while Toyota will feature him in a national advertising campaign.

No wonder he told those at yesterday's presentation it was the pinnacle of his career.
